NOW we’re getting somewhere (altho’ it would’ve been more appropriate to offer group owners an opt-IN solution, but so far the folks at Grouply haven’t shown a great deal of savvy when it comes to “appropriate”)…

opt-out instructions are fairly straightforward and DON’T require signing up for a Grouply acct; instructions are posted on the GrouplyImprovements Yahoo! group, which has an open archive (again, no need to be a member of the group to access the info), but I’m posting a link here for easy access…

to their credit, Grouply founders seem to be responding relatively quickly to Yahoo! Group owners concerns, but IMO they (Grouply) should’ve done their homework BEFORE launching such an invasive “tool,” not basically hijacked group owners/mods into helping fix their (GAPING) flaws, for free (wow, Grouply’s gotta be patting themselves on the back for that one)… unfortunately, this is one case where poor planning on their part DOES constitute an emergency on my part, and that really irritates the heck outta me (I have three kids and a husband — I spend enough time cleaning up other people’s messes as it is)…
