this short post is prompted by a brief convo I had w/someone on Twitter this morning: there’s a saying that “you become the average of the five people with whom you spend the most time.”

whoa. if you really think about it, there are some serious implications in that statement, and it begs so many questions: which five people do I spend the most time with? who do I want to be spending the most time with? am I even selective about who I spend my time with? and the biggest question of all: am I spending enough time w/the Saviour — through scripture study, prayer, church participation (and as a Latter-Day Saint, temple attendance), etc. — to have Him influence who I become?
