yup, it’s official: I’ve returned to the workforce as an employee, albeit under rather unique circumstances. my new employer is McKinnon-Mulherin, a very well respected professional communications firm located in SLC that serves clients nationwide. I’ve been hired as a project-based employee, which means I don’t have a regular work schedule; it’s intermittent/on-demand work. projects that I’m qualified to work on for them include instructional design and proposal writing (responding to Requests For Proposals), and possibly technical writing if the need arises. I’m very pleased to have made it through their (IMO rigorous) screening process, which included proficiency tests in various aspects of writing and instructional design. I’m excited about this change in my professional life — it’s certainly never a bad thing to get paid to do something you love. πŸ™‚
